1) What menu? Authentic. Besides, It reminds me a lot of eating at my favorite restaurants in Suzhou and Futian.

In addition, Once you figure out how to place an order, it’s pretty easy and efficient. So, we ordered various regional Chinese dishes, which were all amazing. Therefore, the mouth-numbing chilli lamb was 100% spot on—Sichuan food at its finest. I’m not talking about American Chinese food but about five stars+ warmth.

Excellent selections of beer and wine, and the orange juice was amazing.

It’s right next to Tao Taos, which I love, but it’s more American style. I have searched for 15 years for the real heat of chilli oil and Hunan-style dry heat, and now I have found the solution.

2) Extensive menu; quite difficult to choose what to eat!

Inside: Closed buffet bar to take away. Then many tables for dinner. Friendly for solo or larger parties.

Online menu: the interface is not user-friendly. There is no description of the dishes. I had to get the normal plastic copy menu to see the ingredients in the jars.

Pots are a good concept, especially during a pandemic when you don’t feel comfortable with family style (although other dishes are available too). And also, the pots come with a bowl of white rice, unlike anything else on the menu. Therefore, It’s a fondue with your choice of ingredients in some broth, probably chicken based. And also, each table has separate condiment jars of garlic sauce, peanuts, chilli oil, and, I think, soy sauce.

Stir Fry: I think that’s where they shine with the wok. Others in our group tried the lamb with green onions, the fried pork chop with garlic noodles, and the cumin beef. Typically Chinese-style greasy, but so good with carbs! They all look and taste delicious!

3) I Came here with a few friends for dinner. And, they have a HUGE menu! So, It was difficult to make a decision what to buy. Therefore, we finished with orange chicken, eggplant in garlic sauce, spring onion pancake, and salt and pepper calamari. So, Everything was delicious and fresh.

The restaurant was clean. Each table had its hand sanitiser.

The service was fast and efficient.

I would go back.

4) I Came here on a Sunday night for dinner with friends. Besides, this place is in the heart of downtown Sunnyvale. Parking can be difficult to find, but I suggest parking on the street in front of a lot.

We were immediately seated. You can order via a QR code at the table. However, the online menu does not indicate what is in the dishes. Further, I couldn’t tell which meat was in which pot. I would suggest asking for a physical menu to see the ingredients.

The service was S+. And also, they were very patient in explaining the menu to me. So, I was able to customise my pot order by changing the base broth of a pot to a curry broth.

The food came out pretty quickly. Two of us had hot pots. The hot pots taste very milky/buttery. We didn’t like it too much, but if you select this flavour, you might like it. So, I would probably stay away from hot pots and dry the dishes! Grilled fish, eggplant and tofu and lion’s head dumplings (not sure of the name) were really good.

Value: correct. Not cheap but not too expensive considering the downtown location. Good portions.

Speed: All orders went out within 10 minutes of ordering. But don’t be rushed with the check; many other tables liked to take their time eating or just talking.
